Information for Parents

Who TrueNerd is for

TrueNerd is an AI math tutor for people 13 and older. In some regions, Apple asks a parent or guardian to approve downloads, purchases and significant app changes for teens, and TrueNerd uses the age range from the teen's Apple Account. You can withdraw your approval through Apple at any time.

What TrueNerd does

The tutor follows the student's work and guides them toward the next step. What the student writes, types, says and photographs in a lesson is sent to OpenAI to create the tutor's replies. TrueNerd has no ads, no tracking and no way to talk to other people.

Subscription

TrueNerd is a monthly subscription bought through Apple. With Ask to Buy, purchases need your approval. You can cancel at any time in your Apple Account settings.

When TrueNerd isn't available

If a date of birth shows someone is under 13, TrueNerd creates no account and keeps no date of birth. It keeps only a note on the device that blocks repeated attempts for 24 hours.
